On Saturday, September 11, 1999, Celine Dion gave a press conference at the Colisee in Quebec, at 3:00 pm. On the same day, she has been named Artist for Peace by the UNESCO, because of her dedication to help society's disadvantaged, defend family values and protect children. Celine Dion was the first Canadian to receive this title. Miss Ndeye Fall, representating the UNESCO in Canada, made an official announcement of this nomination. |
