Celine Dion taped in Las Vegas a special message that was first presented on June 9, 2005 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Marie-Vincent Foundation.

"Good evening,

I would like to thank this evening’s organizers for asking me to speak on behalf of the greatest cause in the world: helping our children.

For the past four years, I have contributed, together with the Marie-Vincent Foundation and Marketel, toward mounting a touring musical production aimed at preventing child abuse.

This production is entitled: “Il faut que tu le dises” (You Must Talk About It). It has been seen by close to 100,000 children in 300 primary schools throughout Quebec. The show is vital, because it urges the many young people today who are sex abuse victims but have yet to reveal the fact, to feel more free to speak out about their secret, with the aim of preventing future abuse of this sort. Your generosity this evening will allow the Foundation to continue this – and other – work. What’s more, you will contribute to the funding and creation of the new and innovative Centre d’expertise.
