Recording session for "Encore un soir"

On October 21, 2015, Celine Dion was in studio with french author Zaho, at The Studio at the Palms, in Las Vegas Nevada. She recorded a few songs for her upcoming album "Encore un soir".

In an interview with the Journal de Quebec in August 2016, Zaho said she was contacted by Celine Dion's team to "suggest things". The Algerian-Quebec singer-songwriter responded to this invitation by writing "Ma faille", a piece that describes the moments of weakness of the performer she had only met once, two years earlier, during of a series of concerts in Paris-Bercy.

“You can't claim to know people's lives, but the advantage of Celine is that it's an open book,” Zaho says. She talks about everything: all her emotions, everything she goes through, everything she experiences … Her sincerity in her interviews, her frank side and her true side helped me a lot to identify the themes that I wanted to approach. "

Once Ma faille had been selected, Zaho wrote two more R’n’B-flavored tracks for Encore un soir: "Tu sauras" and "À vous". Celine Dion's management team even brought her to Las Vegas to do the songs. The guitarist has fond memories of this four-day recording session.

“We laughed a lot,” says Zaho. Celine, she's a joker. And I know it was hard for her, because Rene was dying. He was not doing very well. I admired his courage to keep going and pushing forward. Because René wanted her to continue this album. "
