Swiss Preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 1988 (Switzerland)

On February 6, 1988 Celine Dion took part in the Swiss Preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 1988, held at the Théâtre de Beausobre in Morges, Switzerland. Celine represented Switzerland as one of the countries wich competed at the contest. The preselection was hosted by Serge Moisson. The Swiss entry was Celine with the French language song "Ne partez pas sans moi" ("Don´t leave without me" in English), composed by Atilla Şereftuğ and Nella Martinetti. Nine songs in total competed, with the winner selected by three regional juries, a press jury and another jury of experts. The other eight performers were Hertz, Christine Nachbauer, Renato Mascetti, Bernadette, Furbaz, Cocktail Band, Gemo and Manuela Felice. After performing "Ne partez pas sans moi" and winning the preselection, Celine was photographed with the songwriters of the song, Atilla Şereftuğ and Nella Martinetti.
