On November 2, 2008, Celine Dion took part in the 30th ADISQ Gala, held at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.
During the ceremony, Celine received an honour award for her outstanding international achievements and merit for the French language and music.
The Montreal Symphony Orchestra had prepared a musical tribute in honour of Celine with the musical director Kent Nagano and star pianist Andre Gagnon. Luc Plamondon praised Celine as a great diva. Celine was very touched and thanked them close to tears.
Celine said : "The first time I was on this stage to receive a Félix Award, I was crying and now here I am again. I'm very touched and eternally grateful. Despite to all the achievements and many awards, Quebec was always in my heart and my relationship with Quebec mattered the most. It was here that everything started and where it still continues"
