In 2014, Céline announces a new tour in Japan and in Asia. The tour is scheduled to start on October 26, 2014 in Taiwan and end in Pasay City, Philippines on November 29, 2014. It is scheduled to travel to cities such as Tokyo, Taipei, Macao, Shanghai, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. It is Véronic DiCaire who is scheduled to do the opening act. Céline has to sing a few songs from the album "Loved Me Back To Life" and songs in Japanese and Mandarin.
Well, first of all I'm really looking forward to coming back to Japan. I can't believe it's been more than six years since we were last there. We love the country and especially you, the people. We're preparing a new show for the tour and we'll be doing some songs from my latest English album, plus a lot of your favorites from the past. It's going to be great fun. We just can't wait. Unfortunately, on August 14, 2014, in the press, Céline announced that she was taking a break in her artistic life, following the announcement of her husband René's new cancer. The tour is therefore canceled.
I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband's healing, and to do so, it's important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children. I also want to apologize to all my fans everywhere, for inconveniencing them, and I thank them so much for their love and support.
