Celine Dion Supports Opportunity Village

On November 26, 2014, Celine Dion showed her support for Opportunity Village, by attending its biggest fundraiser, Magical Forest, in Las Vegas.

Opportunity Village is a non-profit organization serving people with intellectual disabilities in Southern Nevada. With her donation, she will touch the lives of thousands of people with disabilities and their families.

Celine Dion’s commitment will include a personal donation of 3,700 seats to her show in the custom-built, 4,100-seat Colosseum at Caesars Palace (A New Day …2004). All concert proceeds will go to Opportunity Village. In addition, Celine Dion and her husband, Rene Angelil will make a personal donation of $150,000. The proceeds from the concert seats plus the personal donation will total approximately $500,000. Caesars Palace will also donate 400 seats to Opportunity Village to solicit sponsorship. All contributions will be used to help build a new $21 million campus for intellectually disabled adults in southwest Las Vegas.

We have fallen in love with this wonderful organization and the brave individuals it serves. Opportunity Village has been working so hard for the past 50 years, helping thousands of adults with disabilities and their families. They deserve international exposure and I am honored to be able to help them deliver their message on behalf of people with profound disabilities.
