Zya meets with Celine Dion / Message for the 'Marie-Vincent Fondation' (USA)

In May 2005, Celine Dion met with Zya (希亚), a Chinese singer.

The same day, Celine taped a special message presented on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Marie-Vincent Foundation on June 9, 2005. The video was taped in her dressing room at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Good evening,

I would like to thank this evening's organizers for asking me to speak on behalf of the greatest cause in the world: helping our children.

For the past four years, I have contributed, together with the Marie-Vincent Foundation and Marketel, toward mounting a touring musical production aimed at preventing child abuse.

This production is entitled: “Il faut que tu le dises” (You Must Tell It). It has been seen by close to 100,000 children in 300 primary schools throughout Quebec. The show is vital, because it urges the many young people today who are sex abuse victims but have yet to reveal the fact, to feel more free to speak out about their secret, with the aim of preventing future abuse of this sort.

Your generosity this evening will allow the Foundation to continue this – and other – work. What's more, you will contribute to the funding and creation of the new and innovative Centre d'expertise.

Thank you to all. And particularly to our great friend Serge Godin, honorary president for this evening's event. And happy 30th anniversary to the Marie-Vincent Foundation. And on a more personal note, allow me to extend my slightly premature best wishes to steering committee chair Me Jean Saint-Onge, on the occasion of his 50th birthday.

Good evening all." - Celine
