Year 1982

On December 24, 1982, Celine Dion appeared on Radio-Quebec's "Station Soleil" program. Here she gives us her striking interpretation of "Glory Alleluia", accompanied by Jean-Pierre Ferland, Nanette Workman and Louise Forestier.

On November 25, 1982, Céline Dion visited Le Journal de Québec with her mother Thérèse Dion and René Angelil. They met the director of the arts and entertainment section at the time, Jocelyn Bourque. At the time, cultural journalist Serge Drouin conducted his first interviews with the star.

On November 17, 1982, Celine Dion performed in a special show intended to raise funds for Quebecair, at the Forum of Montreal, Quebec.

On November 8, 1982, Celine Dion returned to Montreal, Quebec after winning the Gold Medal at the Yamaha World Popular Song Festival, held at the Budokan Hall in Tokyo, Japan on October 31, 1982. On October 31, 1982, Céline Dion wins the Golden Medal in the category Better song with Tellement j'ai d'amour pour toi at the Yamaha World Popular Song Festival. It is the first time that Céline sings in front of an international public.

On October 19, 1982, Celine Dion was photographed by P.H. Talbot, just before leaving for Japan for two weeks.

On August 20, 1982, Celine Dion appeared for the very first time on the French television in the show 'Croque Vacances', hosted by Claude Pierrard. The television show was broadcast on the French channel TF1. She sang the song "L'amour viendra".  

On July 10, 1982, Celine Dion went to France to record her new album "Tellement j’ai d’amour…". This was the first time Celine visited Paris. She was photographed in front of the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe among other places in the city. They were also photographed in the restaurant "Chez Guy et Dodo"

On May 30, 1982, Céline Dion participated in the benefit concert "Chantons pour la vie" presented by La Grande Virée for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at Parc Richelieu de Pointe-aux-Trembles in Montreal, Quebec. Jean-Pierre Ferland, Claude Léveillée, Yvon Deschamps, Richard Séguin were also part of the concert. Celine performed "La voix du bon Dieu".

On February 5, 1982, Celine Dion appeared in the French Canadian show "Allô Boubou", hosted by Jacques Boulanger.
