Céline Dion in Concert

In July 1992, Celine Dion began her fourth tour, which allowed the artist to promote the English-speaking album Celine Dion. This tour is played exclusively in French-speaking and English-speaking Canada. Céline will perform 83 shows, including the opening parts of Michael Bolton's tour, in 16 cities in the United States and 33 cities in Canada, in front of more than 500,000 people

Opening act of Time, Love and Tenderness Tour by Michael Bolton

During the summer of 1992, Celine Dion directed the first parts of Michael Bolton. It was on July 13, 1992, that Michael's tour began at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California. Céline also joins the artist to sing, in a duet, the song Hold On, I'm Comin'

Celine was tired of opening this tour, since the tour had to change cities every day.

But we were finally doing what we had always dreamed of doing: working in the country that created the big time

Céline Dion, 1992

On the first dates, the audience was restless and eager to hear Michael Bolton and didn't listen too much to Celine, who wasn't as well known as she is now.

I had a defective sound system and very little space because the stage was taken up by the mixers and instruments for the main act.

The concerts were held outdoors, when Celine took the stage it was still daylight. But René managed to delay Celine's rise on stage by 30 minutes. At the end of the tour, Celine had good lighting and better sound.
